Perforated metal ceiling guide

Perforated metal ceiling panel materials guide.

Aluminum, galvanized steel and stainless steel are material requests, not interchangeable promises. The selected base material, grade, thickness, finish and environment should be stated in the RFQ.

Project-first guidance

Use the question to improve the brief.

These notes identify the information that should be confirmed with the project drawing, selected material and proposed ceiling construction. They do not replace engineering, system design or test evidence.

Prepare an RFQ brief

Key points

What to clarify before the panel is finalized.

Each point should be read with the actual panel drawing and project conditions.

Start with the project requirement

State the requested material or approved alternative, visible finish, environment and panel geometry. A material label alone does not confirm availability, forming feasibility or service performance.

Keep finish separate from the base metal

A visible coating, color or sheen should be identified by an approved reference. Pretreatment and coating suitability require confirmation for the actual material and intended conditions.

Ask for an evidence-based review

When the brief includes corrosion, cleaning, acoustic, fire or durability expectations, identify the complete assembly and supporting documentation required before making a claim.
